What to Expect on your first visit

Every church will describe itself as a “friendly church.” We think you will find that we do our best to live up to that.

We’re a small country church and in many ways are what you traditionally think of when you think “small country church.”

But being traditional doesn’t always have to mean being formal, stodgy, or no fun.

We want you to feel at home when you come to Short Creek.

We have Sunday school starting at 10:00. We have classes for pre-school, children, youth and different adult classes you can choose from. You pick the class you would feel most comfortable. Don’t worry, you won’t be put on the spot, you won’t be asked to read (some of those names in the Bible are just about impossible to pronounce). It is a great time to get involved with a small group.

In the worship service, you really can sit wherever you want. You don’t have to worry about anyone telling you “you’re sitting in ‘my’ pew.”

Dress is casual. Don’t feel like you have to put on a suit or fancy dress. Now, our pastor likes to wear bow ties (but don’t hold that against us).

We have Bibles in every pew for you to use – and if you don’t own a Bible you can have one.

We would love for you to visit with us, and extend a heart-felt invitation for you and your family to worship with us.
